The beautician Ibrahim Kamara has invested some energy thinking about interchange real factors. His work, which consolidates both current high-style looks and pieces from his own assortment (some of them are even sourced from dumpster jumps), frequently weaves together what's generally named manly and female; as a major aspect of 2026, a venture with the South African picture taker Kristin-Lee Moolman that showed up in a gathering display at Somerset House in 2016, he envisioned how men's wear may reflect changing mentalities about manliness 10 years after the fact. For the front of T's spring Men's Design issue, Kamara banded together with the photography team Mert Oh dear and Marcus Piggott to invoke a hauntingly conflicting scene. They envisioned a prophetically catastrophic no man's land where sensitive ornamental accents — like flower headpieces and surging sleeves — and servitude curved cowhide and metal equipment meet up with solid utilitarian underpinnings to make something radical and new.
